Japan Ready to Help Solve SCS Problems

Jakarta - Japan declared its readiness to help resolve the issue of South China Sea (SCS) involving ASEAN countries. Some ASEAN countries, such as the Philippines, Malaysia, and Brunei involved territorial disputes with China in the SCS.
Foreign Ministry Spokesman Neger Japan, Yasuhisa Kawamura said Japan is ready to help the negotiations between China and the ASEAN countries. It was, he said, also conveyed Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in a meeting with Indonesian President Joko Widodo.
"Japan welcomes the talks between China and ASEAN with three conditions, namely the rule of law at sea," Kawamura said as quoted by Republika in Fairmount Hotel, Jakarta, Sunday (January 15th 2017).
