The family assumed she had died, then place her in a timber for later washed away in the Ganges. Cremation in open room is becoming a tradition Hindus of India. Ash those who have died will be left scattered in the holy river. But, for the bodies bitten by a snake, some people believe in the holy river that will eliminate toxins and make the victim alive again. However, family Vilasa not hope so.
Vilasa's body was later found floating in the river Ganges by two fishermen from a village near the border of Kannauj. They see Vilasa actually not died and took her to the local temple to be treated. Vilasa eventually recover completely, but she lost her memory.
During 40 years with no memory, Vilasa survive in the biscuits. However, little by little Vilasa could remember his past and tells herself to women who have been friends in the temple. She was then let her uncle who knew someone in the village of origin Vilasa. The uncle who is now 82 years old named Chetram and said he knew who had attended the ceremony Vilasa and death 40 years ago.
"My mother said she fainted and lost his memory. Chetram then let us and tell how it goes," said Vilasa oldest daughter, Ram Kumari told The Times of India.
Vilasa later returned to her home and her daughters were shocked to see their mother standing outside the house.
"We immediately recognized him from the birthmark," said her youngest, Muni.
