WHO Warned Asia could Become Next Zika Plague

Manila - WHO warned that Asia could become a next zika plague. Reported by the BBC on Tuesday, September 11th, 2016, the WHO said zika infection seems likely to continue to spread in Asia.
Hundreds of cases have been reported in Singapore. Two cases have been confirmed mikrosefalia in Thailand related to the virus. Director of the WHO, Margaret Chan, said experts are still looking for ways to handle it.
The mosquito-borne virus has been detected in 70 countries, including 19 countries of Asia Pacific. "It is possible new cases will continue to emerge in Asia, may bring a new outbreak," the WHO said in a report at the annual meeting in Manila, Philippines.
