Somali Pirates Release Hostages After Five Years

Mogadishu - After nearly five years in captivity, Somali pirates have freed 26 captive states of Asian origin, Saturday, October 22, 2016 last. Exemption is made after the ransom demanded merea said to have been paid.
Bile Hussein, one of the pirates, said the prisoners are FV Naham 3 crew, ship hijacked Taiwanese-owned advertising in March 2012 ago. The fishing boat sank after a hijacking incident occurred. Hussein said a ransom of 1.5 million dollars was paid for the freedom of the prisoners. But the statement of Hussein is still doubtful.
John Steed, the coordinator of the agencies that helped free hostages, said 26 prisoners of them come from Vietnam, Taiwan, Cambodia, Indonesia, China, and the Philippines have been safe in the hands of the authorities Galmudug. They were transported by UN humanitarian flight to then be sent back to their respective countries.
