Geneva - The refugees and migrants living in the difficulties facing extreme cold temperatures that hit several countries in Europe. Therefore, the Agency for Refugees and the United Nations (UN) UNHCR urged governments in these countries provide additional support for them than suppress them roughly back from the border.
"It is a matter of saving lives, not about maintaining the bureaucracy policies. The situation is frightening now in Greece," said UN spokesman field of children, UNICEF, Sarah Crowe, in the regular meeting of the UN in Geneva, on Friday (January 13th 2017).
During the meeting, the UNHCR spokeswoman, Cecile Pouilly detailing, five migrants died today due to cold weather and about a thousand more tingaal in shelters and tents on the island of Samos, Greece, without heating temperature. She requested that the migrants were transferred to a better shelter.
