Government and People of Indonesia Working Together to Prevent Deforestation

Indonesia - From the data of the Ministry of Environment and Forests (KLHK) in 2013, the area of critical land in Indonesia reached 24.3 million hectares. This damage not only removes timber which is used as an economical product, but also led to various environmental changes that adversely affect humans and other species.
To overcome this, the Indonesian government is eager to rehabilitate forests and land (RHL), because in this way is expected to fix deforestation. Forest and land rehabilitation is done simultaneously between the government and people of Indonesia, not only to restore the critical condition of the forest, as well as to improve the socio-economic conditions of local communities.
